Controlling Excess Inventory

To Our Loyal Customers and Clients:

I’m writing to explain and hopefully answer any questions regarding how W. L. Schneider Associates handles and addresses “Excess Inventory” control.

W. L. Schneider Associates generates work orders based on AOB’s (Assignment of Benefits) and physician orders from their client facilities. When orders arrive at the Homes(s), the products/inventory belongs to the beneficiary/patient/customer “once it crosses the threshold”.

Because this inventory now belongs to the patient and his or her family, they are the ones charged with disposing of it.

Excess inventory disposal can be handled in one (1) of three (3) ways:

  1. It can be donated to the facility.
  2. It can be donated to a charity.
  3. It can be returned to W. L. Schneider Associates for donation to a charity (i.e. –Sacred Heart Hospital for Incurables)

Because W. L. Schneider Associates has an ethical as well as a fiduciary responsibility to our customers and clients, I thought a brief letter of explanation would be helpful.
